Moodle Accessibility Experience Survey

The LSE Eden Centre is consulting with students and staff about their digital accessibility experiences with Moodle. We would like to hear from:

· Students registered with LSE Disability and Mental Health Services (DMHS), or those who may prefer accessible content for any reason.

· Staff - Professional Services and Academics - who edit Moodle courses, including uploading files, in any setting at LSE.

Take part in our anonymous survey by Monday 27 October and register interest in future consultation sessions on digital accessibility at LSE. Students can win one of three £20 gift vouchers and express interest in paid consultation.

Moodle Enrolment Interruption

Update 29/09/25 16:35: Normal service has now been restored, and all students should be enrolled in the correct courses and groups. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

We are currently experiencing a technical issue that has interrupted automatic enrolments in Moodle. This means some students may not yet see all of their course pages or groups. Others may still be enrolled in courses for modules that they have since left.

Update 29/09/25 13:45: We have implemented a solution and enrolments are now being processed. It will still be several hours until all enrolments have been processed. This post will be updated again when all enrolments have finished. Thank you for your patience.

In the meantime:

Some courses allow self-enrolment: search Moodle by module code (e.g. AC100).
Reading lists remain accessible from the Reading List tab at the top of Moodle.
Teachers may enable self-enrolment for their courses if they wish.

We will post updates here as soon as we have more information on the resolution timeline. Thank you for your patience.

Updated Lecture Recording Policy for Academic Year 2025/26

The Eden Centre Digital Education team have completed a review and update of the LSE lecture recording policy in time for the 2025/26 academic year.

During early 2025 we conducted consultations with academic staff, students, and other stakeholders. The new policy was then developed with multiple parties and was approved by Education Committee in May. The updated lecture recording policy will be implemented from the start of the 2025/26 academic year.
