The course offers an analysis of key issues in the development of the domestic, foreign and security policies of East European countries. The course covers the various factors shaping the domestic, foreign and security policy of Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, as well as countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus. It is primarily intended for MSc International Relations, MSc International Relations (Research), MSc in Global Politics, MSc Theory and History of International Relations, MSc Comparative Politics, MSc EU Politics, and MSc LSESciences Po Double Degree in Carrieres Internationales and either International Relations or International Political Economy. Subject to course regulations, supervisors’ approval and availability of seminar places, other Masters students may be enrolled. There are no formal prerequisites but some knowledge of social science methods and an interest in Russian politics will be taken for granted
