Advanced Spanish language study with reference to Spanish speaking societies, contemporary issues, history and culture. The course provides learning contexts and language tasks relevant to demands that may be made on the student’s ability to speak, understand and write in Spanish during their academic and/or working life at an advanced level.

This course will focus on the discussion and essay work based on newspaper articles, recorded materials and selected writings by modern authors. The stress will be on material of socio-political and historical nature.
