This is a seminar series for 1st year students on programmes run by the Department of Mathematics: BSc Financial Mathematics and Statistics, BSc Mathematics and/with Economics, and BSc Mathematics with Data Science.

These seminars provide an opportunity to spend time together with your fellow students in a non-teaching setting, with the occasional participation of your class teachers, course lecturers and other members of faculty of the Department of Mathematics.

The seminar series will feature a mixture of:

• Presentations by your lecturers and other LSE academics
• Mathematical technology sessions led by the Digital Skills Lab (DSL)
• Study skills and personal development sessions
• Panel discussions with senior mathematics undergraduates
• Mathematics research seminars
• Events organised by LSE Careers that will feature LSE alumni, recruiters and other professionals
