About the course

This course introduces students to basic theories and concepts across a diverse range of geographic thought. The course examines three major subtopics within geography: human geography in weeks 1-8 of the Autumn Term (AT); economic geography at the end of the AT and beginning of the Winter Term (WT); and environmental geography in weeks 4-10 of the WT. The last week of the WT synthesizes content from across the subtopics. As geography is a holistic discipline, these three areas are overlapping and complementary across the year. An online review session will be held in the Spring Term.
