This course aims at giving students who already are acquainted with the fundamentals of arbitration the possibility to go into depth into selected problems of international commercial arbitration. The course is designed to allow intense discussions of these problems in order to raise the sensitivity for the issues at stake and to lead to a research oriented approach. Despite its conceptual outset, the course is highly relevant for those wanting to specialise in arbitration practice, since most theoretical problems are also highly significant for the practical solutions.
