Organisational culture relates to shared assumptions, values, beliefs, norms, and behaviours in organisations. It is used to understand how the social environment of an organisation shapes how people think and act, and ultimately, whether it is successful or not. Therefore, organisational culture is a topic that is of critical importance to academics and practitioners alike: a critical question is whether culture can be measured and changed. In this course, we are especially interested in how organisations in high-risk domains develop and manage successful cultures.
