Some of your teachers will be using ResponseWare in their lectures, polling and asking comprehension questions that they expect you to answer with your own devices: laptop, tablet or smartphone. LSE100, AC100, EC201 are some of the larger courses that use this technology.

It is quite important that you do participate with this practice, as it gives instant feedback to your teachers - the fewer participate the more skewed the results will be.

If you have a smartphone, you might want to consider downloading the ResponseWare App, alternatively you can simply go online ( and vote via a browser. Precise and very simple instructions can be found in this short pdf.

And you can read more about the educational use of the technology on our webpage on Instant Voting

PS if you don't own a device or for any reason don't want to use your device(s) in lectures, you can borrow a clicker from the library, which you will have to bring to each lecture that uses Instant Voting.
