Understanding student learning: theory and practice (Dr Neil Mclean) Tuesday 24th February 12:30-14:00 NAB.8.04
This session introduces theory on learning within higher education and applies it to teaching at LSE. For a lecturer, some classes participate animatedly and inclusively, at least over time. Meanwhile, despite the same course input and shared lecturing, other groups just never quite gel or develop. This session discusses social constructivist theory as applied to learning and how these insights can be applied to different class teaching situations.
